Day 59Dunsmuir, California
The day looks like the previous one: forest, heat and steady elevation. I am recruiting Yvette, met at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch, as well as another member of her group. Disco seems a little behind.
The walk is not spectacular, but it brings me closer to Castella. I’m taking a little shortcut to a campsite with a view of Mount Shasta. This slightly reduces the distance and must allow me to reach the trade shortly after its opening the next day.
My tooth does not hurt me any more and my hand finally appears in the healing phase, provided it protects it from the sun. The main problem becomes sleep: I feel numb when I wake up and try to finish before 20:00 to spend a more correct night.
