Day 21Los Angeles Aqueduct (Kern County, California)

I’m leaving late enough to cross the long section of Los Angeles Aqueduct. The first 20 miles are almost perfectly flat, without shadow, in the middle of the desert. The passage is monotonous, but the heat remains bearable and I carry even a little too much water.

A trail angel later installed a resupply with apples, bananas, oranges, donuts, fresh water and some armchairs. I take a long break before I get back on the walk.

At the end of the day, the relief reappears and the wind increases as the mountains approach. Many hikers choose the camping cowboy. For my part, my heels remain painful and begin to become a recurring problem.
