Day 17Palmdale, California

The day before was long and demanding: Mount Baden-Powell, steeply raised, then several miles on a paved road due to the closure of part of the trail. Another portion is damaged and further slows progress. I get tired in a very cold camp, but my bulbs seem a little better.

The next day is more monotonous and less hilly. I made a head start listening to an audio book, without a network since Wrightwood. In the afternoon, the fog settles and the rain begins as I arrive at the camp. I have to prepare my lunch in the tent.

I lie down early with the goal of leaving before dawn to reach Agua Dulce early enough the next day, redo some provisions and dry my stuff.
