Day 14Lytle Creek, California
The night before, Adam, Buzz and Atlas choose to sleep without tent: in “cowboy camping”. For my part, I settled near Patrick and Patrice, an American and the first Frenchman I met on the trail. Their rhythm is slower and we separate the next day.
I’m joining the McDonalds of Cajon Not. The place is a classic PCT hikers appointment: I’m having a feast and snuggle many times in Coke. When I leave, I discover that I have lost my water filter and its bottle. Without an immediate solution, I prepare to continue without filtering until the next city.
Fortunately, I find Adam, Atlas and Buzz at the exit. Buzz had picked up the filter at the place we stopped earlier. I leave alone, with Buzz’s foot problems and their slower pace, I don’t know if we’ll meet again.
