Day 85Naches, Washington

I join White Pass without major difficulty. The Cracker Barrel looks like a big gas station, but offers everything a hiker needs. I eat a rather medium American pizza, have an ice cream, do 3 days of resupply, then enjoy a shower and laundry.

I’m going back about 15:30 and still walking about 12 miles. The trail quickly finds a monotonous forest punctuated with ponds. Audio books help to move forward, although with the headnet they sometimes deconcentrate me to the point of hitting my head against trees.

Logistics is getting more delicate. Cities are rarer, some stores are closed and future supplies will have to cover long sections. More should be carried while avoiding unnecessary overloading of the bag.
