Day 68Ashland, Oregon
I could easily stay another night in Ashland: the more I rest, the more I feel my body needs it. But I’d rather go back and put the real recovery back on the trail.
I have breakfast with waffle and fresh fruit, then go to the barber to cut hair and beard. My Airalo mobile access no longer works and even with the Wi-Fi of the cafes, I can’t solve the problem. This is not necessary for the next few days, but the total lack of a network remains awkward.
A Uber takes me back to the PCT. With the new shoes, UV gloves and repaired equipment, I start my first real Oregon section towards Crater Lake.
