Day 66Oregon border (Ashland, Oregon)
I finally leave California to enter Oregon. After nearly 1,700 miles in the same state, the change has a strong symbolic value.
The day remains fairly physical, with nearly 2,000 meters of elevation, but the trail is untechnical and the temperature is reasonable. At the top of a long climb, a magic trail offers Shasta sodas, named as the mountain that has been observed for several days.
However, I feel persistent fatigue. The stop in Ashland comes at the right time: it will allow me to change shoes, cut hair and beard, repair a holed shirt and prepare the supplies of Oregon.
