Day two in the Sierra. I walked nearly 30 miles the day before despite the climb. The altitude often exceeds 3,000 meters, the bag is heavier and my pace will drop the following days.

The landscape is beautiful. The first snow plates appear and I still walk in fleece, cap and gloves. Despite the logistical concern, the entry into the Sierra keeps all its promises.
