Day 64Seiad Valley, California
The day is relatively simple despite a few blowdowns at the end of the race. I meet several hikers, including Rosie, who travels a part of California.
I’m walking about 37 miles. The new soles reduce the pain without completely removing it. At camp, I clean my feet carefully and find that they remain very sensitive. I always look forward to the new shoes planned in Ashland.
Deer circle around tents at night and make a lot of noise. As in previous days, they seem to be looking for the salt left by sweating on the material.
