Day 48Truckee, California

I leave very early and still enjoy a beautiful sunrise. 2 older hikers walk on the same portion. I have about 23 miles left to reach Donner Ski Ranch early enough to eat.

I fall on the path and slightly open the palm of the hand, precisely that already irritated. A bandage is enough, but blisters are more and more like eczema.

At the ranch, I order a large American pizza, soda and ice cream. I keep 2 shares for the next day at 12:00 and also take a sandwich to vary the trail meals. My bear canister still contains a lot of food, but it’s his last full day.
